Health
We value each child’s right to make informed choices about their health, in areas such as nutrition, fitness and well-being.
Rugged Moon is currently seeking to commission new resources that will provide fun ways for children to learn about nutrition. These resources should enable children to make the connection between the ‘fuel’ that they put in their bodies and the health of their body.
Rugged Moon’s first book, ‘How to be Super: A little person’s guide to eating well’ was released on 16th November 2009 under the company’s ‘health’ banner. This children’s rhyming picture book is a fun way to learn about why we need to eat a variety of healthy foods. Through beautiful illustrations and lively rhyme children will embark on a magical adventure. With tips for parent’s from Nutrition Australia this book helps guide children towards making healthy eating choices. The book is aimed at 4-8 year olds.
This website also contains a link to a Rugged Moon healthy eating game where your child can learn about the food triangle and how to pack a ‘balanced’ lunchbox.
Rugged Moon is currently considering submissions for resources that will engage children in these topics.
